How do you like it? I played with one at the store today and came away very impressed. Thinking I might have to invest in one at some point...
Here’s the Astropad app - mirrors your computer display on your iPad.

It’s $949 + $99 for the pen, a surface pro 4 costs $999 and is a full tablet-computer! The ipad pro is just a big ipad with a digitizer.

And can run actual software, since the iPad Pro is still running iOS.

Haven’t played with the Surface Pro 4 yet, but I have a MacBook Pro and all the software I need there already. If I was starting from scratch, your point is a good one. From my perspective, the iPad Pro is competitively priced with the Wacom Cintiq displays, and adds the functionality of a iPad.

I should get something like this one of these days. I’ve used other peoples, but never for a long enough period to get a feel for it. Pen and paper for me.

Yeah, I’m pencil and paper at the moment, but can really see the advantage of having a tool like this, especially now that the tech has gotten good enough to mimic the fine control and sensitivity of a pen or pencil on paper (only missing the feel and sound of the drag of the paper).

Have you ever posted any of your work? I don’t recall seeing it.
My brother uses some sort of tablet device, and some of the drawings he’s done with it are astounding.

I do freelance logo design work, and sketch in my early stages, but I always have wanted to get stronger as an illustrator.
I did this one recently for Jim Glickenhaus’ son-in-law:

Awesome work!
Get drawing if you want to get better. There was probably a period of 3 years where I don’t think I drew a thing. I often wonder how much that hindered my skills. My brother draws every single day and it shows in his work.
My suspicions were correct all along. Your last name isn’t Saddiction.

Ha - thanks for the compliment.
And thanks for the encouragement; I do need to make it an intentional part of each day. With a day job and three kids, it will take some serious discipline for me to make it happen.
